About the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

This year, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will be held from the 3rd to the 7th of November. It is the 57th year of this occasion held in the “Yachting Capitol of the World” and you can expect to see everything from jet and ski boats to cabin cruisers to superyachts. The show will feature all of the latest designs in a number of boating categories.

4 Superyachts You Will See

#1: Northern Star

This impressive 247-foot yacht named Northern Star comes courtesy of Moran Yacht and Ship who worked with interior designer Pauline Nunns and builders Lurssen. It features six decks, open air dining, a large outdoor pool, and more. Its charming interior uses a lot of white woodwork and large windows for a sophisticated environment. Northern Star also has power that you can feel, but not hear. It can get up to speeds of 17 knots but features an advanced sound and vibration system that limits noise.

#2: Meridian

Yachtzoo is the company offering Meridian, a yacht that offers luxury for everyone from the guests to the crew. It is 205 feet long and has a large deck that is partially covered by canopies, which gives you the option to lounge in the sun or the shade. It features 2 master suites, 4 other luxury staterooms, and 9 cabins to support 18 crew members. It is large enough to very comfortably sleep 12 guests. The interior was designed by Cristiano Gatto. It is very modern and features a glossy wood design with plenty of woods like walnut Canaletto, rosewood, mahogany, and ebony.

#3: Areti

Burgess Yachts is the company offering the sleek superyacht Areti. Areti is nearly 200 feet in length and features a white exterior with a light wooden sundeck. The inside was designed by Patrick Knowles and it features mahogany veneer, marbles like onyx and granite, and a number of other tones that offers a classic design. Areti has all of the amenities you would expect of a luxury yacht, including an indoor Jacuzzi, a viewing deck that offers a 360 degree view, and even an elevator that takes you between floors.

#4: ROCK.IT

Another yacht you will see at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat show is ROCK.IT, which also comes in at just under 200 feet of length. Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design and Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects came together to work on this yacht to create a final masterpiece that is spectacular to say the least. The outside is as sleek as it is fast and the inside comes with all of the comforts of a luxury cruise ship and more. It offers plenty of sundeck space (in the sun and shaded) and a 360-degree view that is to die for.

In addition to a gorgeous design, ROCK.IT features a maneuvering system that is often used in naval applications with intuitive joystick control. This comes with an autopilot system, plenty of speed, and all the latest cutting edge boating technology.

Whether you are a yacht connoisseur or you are just looking to keep up on all the latest in boating, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is definitely the place to be this year. Be sure to check out the four superyachts while you are there- you will definitely be impressed!
