Fort Lauderdale Beach Air & Sea Show

The Lauderdale Air Show is set for April 28-29 over the Atlantic ocean off Ft. Lauderdale's beach. The United States Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the event which includes military and civilian aerial demonstrations for the public and entertainment.

Military flight acts include the USN F-18 Hornet demo team, B-1 Bomber, F-15 Eagles, F-5 Tigers and a U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue demonstration. The Navy Seal Leap Frogs and 101st Airborne will parachute into the show.

Civilian performers include the Black Diamond jet team, GEICO Skytypers and freestyle aerobatic world champion Rob Holland.

Spectators can view the show from land or sea.

Vessels near the area must adhere to the following boating advisory:

Civilian watercraft must be outside the air show safety zone, which extends 4,000 feet offshore from show center at Sunrise Boulevard and A1A. The safety zone will be marked by temporary buoys that will be in place from 11:00 a.m. on April 26 to 5:00 p.m. on April 29.

The safety zone coordinates are as follows:

Northeast Corner: 26*10'34.13" N, 80*5'2.77" W

Northwest Corner: 26*10'38.41" N, 80*5'43.22" W

Southeast Corner: 26*7'14.74" N, 80*5'24.42" W

Southwest Corner: 26*7'19.56" N, 80*6'10.14" W
